The Shane Johnson Fanlisting

Shane Johnson is a writer and graphic artist. His previous novels include the historical thriller Chayatocha, the 2002 Christy Award finalist ICE, and The Last Guardian, a Christy Award finalist chosen by Booklist magazine as one of the top 10 Christian novels of 2001.

He is a devout believer in the inerrancy of Scripture, the sovereignty of God, and the surety of salvation through Christ. He also is a spaceflight historian, and served as a design consultant for the HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon." He lives in north central Texas with his wife Kathy and son Daniel.

I created this fanlisting because I am a huge fan of Shane Johnson and his books. :) His writing is thrilling and suspenseful and contains some of the most colorful and amazing imagery I have ever "seen". :D

I am actually very privileged to be personally acquainted with Mr. Johnson. :D Back in 2004, after reading The Last Guardian (my favorite of his books), I wrote a review for it on my website. Mr. Johnson was googling reviews for his books on the web and found my site! He left a comment on one of my blog posts, which I was so super excited about! He is a very inspiring person and was wonderful to correspond with. He even sent me an autographed copy of A Form of Godliness, which I feature in this post. :D WOOT!

With all that said, I still consider The Last Guardian to be one of my favorite books and its writer as one of my favorite authors. I hope to someday be able to maybe have him autograph my copy of that book! :D His writing is so colorful and truly draws you into the story. Some of the greatest writing I've ever had the privilege of reading. :)
